While waiting for my other paintings to dry enough to continue with them I ended up starting yet another one today - I must be experiencing some sort of purging need to paint after years glued to my computer monitor! This I based on an image of an old Ladakh lady from India and her people, making her young instead. It sort of feels to me a bit like a Robert McGinnis western painting for some reason. These tribespeople resemble native Americans more than they do our traditional image of Indian natives.

Are you using glazes or just getting stuck in with the paint there? It looks like there's some glazing going on especially with the warm tones..
