Repeat note (see previous upload!)

While waiting for my other paintings to dry enough to continue with them I ended up starting yet another one today - I must be experiencing some sort of purging need to paint after years glued to my computer monitor! This I based on an image of an old Ladakh lady from India and her people, making her young instead. It sort of feels to me a bit like a Robert McGinnis western painting for some reason. These tribespeople resemble native Americans more than they do our traditional image of Indian natives.

I'm amazed I got so much done today. It's got a fair bit more to add but I'm really happy with it. :)

This is great stuff man! You're really starting to get away from your 'typical barbarian' stuff the more you paint. I think you're right about the purge thing - personally I tend to keep 3 or 4 paintings on the go due to drying times. I would personally love to see a book of this stuff or at least an exhibition before you go stateside and we lose you.
