NEW DEATH DEALER PAINTING by LiamSharp NEW DEATH DEALER PAINTING by LiamSharp
AT LAST! IT'S ARRIVED!
I just got word from Imagine FX that I could post this up - and as I said before, I think it stands as my finest piece of digital art to date. So great that Frank Frazetta allowed me to use his character for the piece, which is also supported by a tutorial on the DVD next issue. I put together a little talk-through that lasts about half an hour, and shows my total lack of method!

Enjoy!

BTW, the mountains are entirely painted, not a photographic element. My wife said nobody is going to believe you painted that in photoshop...

Take care,

Liam.

I can tell that you like painting the snow.  Its really reflective and gives a nice contrast the dark characters!

Absolutely brilliant! One of my favorite Frazetta characters to boot. Must be thrilling getting the go-ahead from the man himself too I'll bet.

Oh My Goddess that is wicked coolio!!! I have a limited edition Death Dealer sculpture/statue I bought years ago in my Condo of Discombobulated Clouds. (Basically a private art gallery) I am floored by your creation. Good work Sir and have a great weekend. Oh by the way how can I purchase a print or other format of this magnificent piece of art???

An epic moment! I love muscle-men with helmet which is covering their face, these are making look them so mystic (sry for this english!)

Awesome artwork and totally cool "wow"-moment!

Thank you! This was a ton of fun to do. Tribute for the old man's B'day. At least he got to see it before he died... :(

What beautiful depth in this painting, the mdetail & colour, not to mention the concept is fantastic. I absolutely love this character, would have to be my favourite of Frank Frazetta's. What a stunning tribute to the master of fantasy art!

Thanks Joe! I wish I had more time to do work like this - and more jobs that would allow me to! Man, the strip work gets so intensive! That said, you can't beat REAL paintings. :)

Take care man.

Liam.

I like getting my hands dirty! LOL Having a physical piece of art in my hard when I'm done is also still a thrill, especially since art sales are a big part of my income. I love sequential work. I wish I were faster so I could do more, but that's never been the case for me. I just sit back and soak up all the work from guys like you! LOL
