AT LAST! IT'S ARRIVED!
I just got word from Imagine FX that I could post this up - and as I said before, I think it stands as my finest piece of digital art to date. So great that Frank Frazetta allowed me to use his character for the piece, which is also supported by a tutorial on the DVD next issue. I put together a little talk-through that lasts about half an hour, and shows my total lack of method!

Enjoy!

BTW, the mountains are entirely painted, not a photographic element. My wife said nobody is going to believe you painted that in photoshop...

Finally :D. Turned out great and it really is your finest digital piece so far. All the details and colours in it. Simply amazing, especially the mountains. Did you talk to Frazetta for this piece or do you know him?

I don't know him personally, though I worked via him when I drew the strip - everything had to be vetted. In the case of this painting I contacted him in advance via the new comic editor and got his blessing before I went ahead. He's extremely precious about his creation, naturally. It's why I'm not allowed to turn the print setting on...
